Our hotel, your home away from home - The Originals Relais
375 meter away from the sea, plunged among secular chestnut-trees, is situated the medieval village of Marciana, with its Archaeological Etruscan-Roman museum and the ancient "Fortezza Pisana".
From the village a cableway drives you till the top of the "Monte Capanne", where you can enjoy a wonderful view. The ancient Via Crucis, that beginns at the "Pisana" fortress, lead to the most ancient "Santuario della Madonna del Monte", where Napoleone lived in the period of his exile to have a best controll about sea-shiftig movements around the island.
Marciana is surrounded by chestnut tree woods and mediterranean bush; the flora and fauna, protected by the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago are wonderful and offer to those who love nature and traditions the possibility of spending peaceful hours walking through the granite paved village, trekking to Napoleon's hermitage, to a deserted sanctuary or simply drinking spring water at Napoleon's fountain, near Poggio.
